E-Cigarette & Battery Recycling Policy (WEEE Compliance)
At No-Match, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of vaping. E-cigarettes and batteries contain valuable materials like lithium and copper, but they also contain hazardous components that can harm the environment if disposed of in regular household waste.
Under the UK WEEE Regulations, we provide a free and easy way for our customers to recycle their old vaping devices and batteries.
1. Our Free Takeback Service
If you purchase a new vaping device or battery from us, we will recycle your old one for free.
- Like-for-Like: We accept any old e-cigarette or battery for recycling, provided it serves the same function as the product you are purchasing (regardless of the brand).
- Timing: You have 28 days from the date of your new purchase to return your old device to us.
2. How to Return Your Waste Vapes
To use our takeback service, please follow these steps:
- In-Person: Bring your old device to our location at 49 Liverpool Road, Penwortham PR1 9XD and drop it into our dedicated WEEE recycling bin.
- By Mail (Online Customers): If you purchased online, you can mail your old device to us. Please contact our support team at info@no-match.co.uk to request a recycling reference.
- Note: Customers are responsible for the postage costs of returning waste items via mail.
3. Why Recycle?
The "crossed-out wheeled bin" symbol shown on your vaping equipment indicates that it should not be disposed of in your normal household bin.
- Fire Safety: Lithium batteries can cause fires in waste collection trucks and processing centers.
- Resource Recovery: Up to 80% of the materials in a vape can be recycled and reused in new products.
- Environment: Proper disposal prevents hazardous chemicals from leaking into the soil and water systems.
4. Our Commitment
As a responsible retailer, we track and report the weight of all vaping products we collect (under WEEE Category 15) to ensure we meet the national recycling targets set for 2026
